Modding Your Server
Hey there, Survivors! Ready to enhance your Project Zomboid experience with mods? Mods can add new features, environments, and challenges to keep your gameplay fresh amidst the undead chaos. Follow this quick guide to get mods up and running on your server and dive back into the apocalypse with exciting twists!
Step-by-Step: Installing Mods
1. Dive into Steam
Open Project Zomboid in your Steam library.
2. Explore the Workshop
Click on Workshop to browse available mods.
3. Discover More
Select "See all" to explore the full mod collection.
4. Pick Your Mods
Find mods you like and note down both the Workshop ID and Mod ID.
5. Access Your Server Panel
Log into the Game Control Panel to manage your server.
6. Pause the Action
Stop the server before making any changes to avoid issues.
7. File Navigation
Go to File Manager to access your server files.
8. Tweak the Settings
Locate and open the [ServerName].ini
file in:
/home/container/.cache/Server/
(The file name matches your Save/Config Name from the Startup tab.)
9. Mod IDs, Assemble!
In the .ini
file, add your Mod IDs next to:
Mods=modID1;modID2;modID3
(Separate multiple mods with a semicolon.)
10. Workshop IDs, Line Up!
Similarly, enter the Workshop IDs next to:
WorkshopItems=workshopID1;workshopID2;workshopID3
11. Save Your Changes
Click Save Content to apply the new mod setup.
12. Bring Your Server Back to Life
Restart your server and enjoy your modded Project Zomboid experience!
