How to change the world seed

The seed defines how your Minecraft world looks — think mountains, rivers, villages, and biomes, all generated based on that seed.

Want to start fresh or found a cool seed code on YouTube or Reddit? Follow these easy steps!

Go to the OXY.Games control panel:
👉 panel.oxy.games
Log in with your credentials.

Click your server from the list and then go to Files in the menu.

More info here: Managing files with the File Manager

🧾 Step 3: Find the server.properties file

Section titled “🧾 Step 3: Find the server.properties file”

Scroll down and double-click the server.properties file to open the editor.

Find the following line:

level-seed=

➡️ Add your seed code after the equals sign. For example:

level-seed=1234567890

You can use numbers, words, or something fun like oxyisawesome.

The new seed only applies when generating a new world. So, you need to remove the existing one:

  1. Delete the world, world_nether, and world_the_end folders.
  2. Right-click each folder and select Delete or use the trash can icon.

Go back to the overview and click Start or Restart.

A brand new world will now be generated using your seed!

Want to be sure your seed creates a nice world? Create a singleplayer world with the same seed first — so you know what to expect!
