Players can't connect
Work through these from top to bottom. The first three cover most cases.
1. The server isn’t running
Section titled “1. The server isn’t running”Nobody can connect. Open the game panel: is the status Running? If not, click Start and wait until it is. See Start your server.
2. The server never reaches Running
Section titled “2. The server never reaches Running”The first start downloads the game files and can take a few minutes. If it’s stuck longer than 10 minutes, click Restart once.
3. Wrong address or port
Section titled “3. Wrong address or port”“Can’t reach server” or a timeout. Re-copy the address from the panel and make sure players use the full IP:port. See Connect to your server.
4. Game versions don’t match
Section titled “4. Game versions don’t match”One player is on another Hytale version than the server. Everyone updates, then the server restarts so it picks up the new version too.
5. Blocked by the whitelist
Section titled “5. Blocked by the whitelist”Only some players get in. Add the missing username to the whitelist, or disable it.
6. Wrong password
Section titled “6. Wrong password”“Incorrect password”. Passwords are case-sensitive; re-share it exactly, or change it in the panel.
